Public Outreach

The City of Suffolk’s Stormwater Division works in a joint effort with the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission’s HRSTORM committee as part of a regional effort to raise awareness of the effects of stormwater in the Hampton Roads area. You may have seen some of the HRStorm “spots” on your local TV news station or heard them on the radio. If not, Click here to check them out!

Some of the most recent educational efforts have been on proper disposal methods for auto maintenance products and waste collection for household chemicals, proper pet waste management, and maintenance of stormwater best management practices.
